Match Report Press Report

Winchester 4 Lost to Totton 1 in a close match.

With the home team having higher Gradings in 5 of the strings, the match was always going to be in their favour. The away team proved the statisticians wrong though by clinching a great win.

On paper, the number 5 string should have been the closest, with only 88 ranking points separating the two players before the match. The Away player, Matthew Rivers, did well therefore to secure the win.

It was the number 5 String which turned out to be the most competitive, with the Players battling out over a total of 81 Points ! Victory finally going to the Away Player, Matthew Rivers.

Player of the match must be the Away number 1 string, Tom Fletcher, who over-turned a 1786 ranking points disadvantage to record a great win.
